Tennis - Fashion and Philanthropy

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6
Tennis has always been an incredibly fashionable sport. From the time when women played in long dresses and corsets to the present day when tennis stars are designer muses, fashion has been a part of the elegance of the sport. White dresses evolved into crisp skirts and tailored shorts. Since then, tennis outfits have come in a range of colors and styles, from sporty to feminine. On March 16th, the Steven M. Gootter Foundation is hosting the Gootter Grand Slam, a tennis tournament and gala event. The Gootter Foundation was one of TFW 2013's beneficiaries and we're happy to be partnering with them this year as well.

Fashion Rewind: Style with Elsa Klensch

For more than two decades, fashion enthusiasts around the world tuned in weekly to watch Style with Elsa Klensch. This was the first U.S television show to report exclusively on fashion and design, and people loved it. Style with Elsa Klensch changed the way the public saw fashion, literally. No longer did you have to posses an exclusive invitation to one of the shows in Bryant Park or Paris and London. All you needed was a TV. In this day, when you can watch live streams of all the shows from your own computer its amazing to look back at one of the programs that changed the face of fashion forever.
